In the last few years, the smartphone industry has completely been changed
because of the Chinese smartphones coming to the market before that, we used to
see smartphones of LG, HTC, SONY, BLACKBERRY but from when the Chinese companies
has established their monopoly through giving high specs at the low prices these
brands have just been disappeared, Nokia was at the top for so long in the
market but now has disappeared but there was a brand which used to make premium
smartphones and we get to see new technologies in its phones in spite of its
popularity and loyal fan base it disappeared from the global market, I am
talking about SONY, 

SONY is in the market from the beginning at first we used to see the Sony
Ericson smartphones (keypad ones) and after that the Sony Xperia lineup and in
all the phones SONY provides some of the most advanced features of that time,
ones it introduced a phone with 4k display and it was a big deal at that time,
because of being a Japanese brand in most of its smartphones, we got to see IP
ratings, the reason SONY getting disappeared was that it was in loss from the
last five years and now it seems after five years SONY is in profit and is in a the mood of a comeback. THE COMEBACK OF SONY-

During the Chinese Brands monopoly, LG and SONY were working in a similar way they were trying to provide something new, something out of the box, SONY introduced 4k display, 21:9 display, and LG introduced the LG WING, If we talk about SONY Xperia 1 series the latest one is Xperia1 mark 3 and it’s the only smartphone in the market with 21:9 44K HDR OLED DISPLAY Isn’t it awesome and the thing that makes SONY different is that it isn’t only a smartphone brand in fact smartphones are just a side business for SONY, other major businesses of SONY are TVs, PLAY STATION, CAMERAS and in the smartphone market they were just trying to survive but now in 2021 SONY now realized that they don’t need to sell a large number of smartphones because unlike the other brands it isn’t SONY’s only business so they have money from other businesses to put in the smartphone business and now SONY is focusing on its strengths like the IP rating and the audio related features and targeting people from creative professions and the loyal SONY fans and SONY is now making phones that are different and not like the other brand's phones like, in SONY Xperia 1 Mark3 they provided some of the most unusual features and it's doing good in the European market, 2020 SONY shipped 2.9million smartphones which isn’t a great number but its good in the small market. Other brands are making phones for the masses and SONY is doing just opposite and targeting a very short niche audience and making good profit from it because they aren’t selling at low price SONY’s smartphones are quite expensive and provide value to the customer because they can’t get that features in any other brand's phones.
